A few months into the Walt Disney World Resort 50th Anniversary Celebration, there’s still so much information scattered around that we thought we’d create a helpful guide with each special part of the world’s most magical celebration! Disney Kite Tails
This new kite show at Disney’s Animal Kingdom has two different versions: “The Jungle Book” and “The Lion King”.
Lighthouses of magic
Each Walt Disney World theme park icon – Cinderella’s Castle, Spaceship Earth, the Tree of Life and the Tower of Terror – lights up as a “Beacon of Magic” each night.

Spaceship Earth at EPCOT has new lights for the “Beacon of Magic” which will also be used for the ongoing light shows each night, continuing beyond the 50th anniversary. Special versions debuted, including one for the International Holiday Festival and one for the International Festival of the Arts featuring the Muppets’ “Rainbow Connection”.
Among the Magic Kingdom cavalcades is Mickey’s Celebration Cavalcade, featuring the mouse and all of his friends in 50th anniversary costume.
Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade
The all-new Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade, featuring approximately 30 Disney and Pixar characters, made its Magic Kingdom debut this month.
New scene added to Electric Water Contest
The Electric Water Pageant debuted shortly after Magic Kingdom opened in 1971, and to celebrate this 50-year tradition; he got a new scene.

Golden statues of 50 figures are the main addition in terms of decor for the 50th anniversary in the parks. Find our complete list here.
The arches of the main entrance to the Walt Disney World Resort have been repainted for the occasion.
Magic Kingdom & Transportation & Ticketing
Monorail stations and the Ticket and Transportation Center received a new paint job.
The flowerbeds at the entrance to Magic Kingdom have had a makeover, while the clock on Main Street, USA, has had a makeover for the occasion.
Magic Kingdom released a number of 50th anniversary banners, including embroidered banners, jeweled banners, and banners featuring concept art by Mary Blair.
Of course, Cinderella’s Castle takes center stage for the birthday. You can see her initial transformation in this time-lapse video.
EPCOT launched a 50th anniversary floral logo for the 2022 International Flower and Garden Festival, and the entrance of EPCOT will have a 50th logo topiary cake scene.
The Port of Entry Shop has received a new 50th Anniversary overlay.
Harmonious’ barges feature the 50th logo when not in use for the show.
EPCOT also got 50th anniversary banners from Spaceship Earth.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Disney’s Hollywood Studios received unique 50th anniversary banners.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios has seamlessly blended holiday and birthday decor this winter.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Disney’s Animal Kingdom received 50th anniversary banners with a zebra pattern.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom stores, such as Island Mercantile and Chester & Hester’s Dinosaur Treasures, feature displays of festive merchandise.
Disney Springs offers a unique merchandise display for World of Disney’s anniversary.
Walt Disney World Resort Hotels
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa decorated its lobby and shops for the anniversary.
Even the construction of Disney’s Contemporary Resort has entered into the 50th anniversary theme.
Resort Anniversary Collections
The three Disney resorts that opened with Magic Kingdom in 1971, Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort all received special merchandise collections.
The Polynesian collection includes a Loungefly ear headband, clothing, kitchen utensils, coasters, an ornament and a MagicBand.
The collection for Disney’s Contemporary Resort also includes an ear band, ornament, clothing, MagicBand and Loungefly bag.
The Fort Wilderness collection includes clothing, MagicBand, photo frame, ear headband, decoration, playing cards and games.

The Vault Collection includes several pieces meant to commemorate the first anniversary of Walt Disney World.
From keychains to Crocs and cardigans to Harveys bags, the Vault collection highlights the original Magic Kingdom map.
There’s a denim vest, sweatpants, bucket hat, jigsaw, pin, tracksuit, alarm clock, hoodie, t-shirt with matching sweatpants and of course a Spirit jersey.
The Luxe Collection offers a range of high-end pieces for the Disney collector.
In Uptown Jewelers at Magic Kingdom, collectors will find Luxe Logo bags by Kate Spade and Loungefly and a Luxe Ear Headband and Jeweled Ear Hat.
In addition, a black Luxe Collection Minnie ear headband, a black logo hat, a logo jacket and sweatshirt, a PopSocket, a decorative plate, a Starbucks cup and a Steiff teddy bear are available.
A number of engravable ID tags are available throughout Walt Disney World Resort. You can find unique ones at Magic Kingdom, Disney Springs, EPCOT, Disney’s Contemporary Resort, and Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.
