The sheriff’s office report said the man’s wife asked their daughter to move into the empty space next to the other couple to watch the fireworks. He said the other woman told them they wouldn’t be there and “it was her space,” the reporter said. He said they ignored her and tried to move through space anyway. That’s when he says the woman nudged them and hit his daughter. His wife then allegedly grabbed the woman by the hair “by instinct to keep her away from her children”.

He told deputies that when he tried to break up the fight, the woman fell and the woman’s husband pushed his wife to the ground. It was then that he said he fought with the man to defend his wife. The couple say they left because they “worried the crowd would get angry,” the report said.

Both parties have said they want to sue.
