Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is home to several beloved restaurants, including Ohana. The resort also offers the Kona Cafe, another great choice for dining. However, this restaurant will close its doors at the end of this summer. When looking at the restaurant on the official Walt Disney World website, the following message appears:
Starting August 15, 2022, the Kona Cafe will be closed for renovations. During this time, Guests can continue to use the mobile ordering service through the My Disney Experience app to order select breakfasts, lunches and dinners on Kona Island.
We don’t know what the renovation will include or how long it will last at this time. The entire Polynesian Village Resort is also slated for a major expansion, which was announced just a few months ago.
