‘Owl House’ fans rally to save Disney series after creator says ‘it’s too late’ for extended Season 3

The owl houseThe creator of may have announced the end of the series, but that won’t stop fans from campaigning for more episodes. In a recent Twitch stream, Dana Terrace said that “it was too late for an extended season 3” of the series. Still, she added that there may be more content coming to Luz and Eda’s universe.

“I’m going to answer this one because a lot of people ask me,” Terrace said. “The letters, the medium, the trend, does it help Owl house get more content? Yes, the more attention we get, the more likely we are to get more content and the ability to do more things in the studio.

But Terrace put the kibosh on an extended Season 3, sadly, saying it’s been a long battle with Disney trying to get more episodes.

“It’s set in stone,” Terrace confirmed. “We got on board, it’s a shame. It’s a battle that I have been waging for a year, even before I have the right to say anything about it. Unfortunately, this ship has sailed.

There is hope for the future of Owl house, however, in the form of new content similar to the original saga. Fans just need to continue to show their support for the series as it hits Disney +, Terrace says.

“However, spinoffs, shorts, comics, all of that can still happen. If you like the show, watch it on Disney +. It’s the best way to support the show,” Terrace concluded. “Thank you. a lot for all the support. “

Hearing the news, Owl house audiences took to social media to mourn the loss of the show while also supporting Terrace’s future efforts. One Twitter user said that “when shows like this are canceled / shortened it really makes you question most animation executives.”

“The American fandom actually has every opportunity to send letters and support through D + because of their country,” tweeted another, plotting to help Owl house while doing his last performance on Disney +. “We Latins can create trends and that sort of thing if you all continue to support S2 in real time. “

The owl house debuted in January 2020 and was renewed for a second season ahead of the premiere date. In May 2021, the series was renewed for a third season consisting of just three specials, and later, Disney announced that it would be the show’s final season. New episodes of The owl house releases on Disney + on August 18.
